|Staffing agency Apollo will be recruiting more than 20 workers for a manufacturing facility in Bartow County on Thursday, March 16.
The Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL) will host the recruitment from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at its Cartersville Career Center located at 19 Felton Place.
The company is recruiting 11 metal inert gas (MIG) welders, five machine operators and six painters.
Due to U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, all applicants must be at least 18 years old. They must also have a high school diploma, or a General Education Diploma (GED), and some work experience in their occupation.
Those who apply for the welding positions must be certified as a MIG welder, while the machine operators must have at least six months experience in reading blue prints and cut and press.
Salaries range from $11 an hour for the painters and machine operators to $12.50 for the MIG welders.
The company will conduct a background check and drug-screening test on selected applicants.
