Timothy Matthew Isaac, 50 of Adairsville, was arrested in Rome Wednesday after police said he purchased a car on a check from a bank account that had been closed.

Reports said that Isaac wrote a $600 personal check for a 2004 Nissan Sentra back on November 6m 2016 at a home on Meadow Lane.

He is also charged with writing a $57.95 check that he knew would not be honored to the Shannon Pharmacy for medication.

Isaac is charged with deposit account fraud and theft by deception.
