Collinsville man has been arrested for being in possession of stolen property, according to Sheriff Todd Entrekin.

“Joie Lana Gowens, 56, of Collinsville, is charged with one count of first degree receiving stolen property (motor vehicle), which is a felony,” investigator Adam Chapman said.

Gowens allegedly was driving a stolen Ford Ranger truck during a traffic stop.  The tag on the truck had also been switched.

He is being detained in the Etowah County Detention Center on $5,000 bond for receiving stolen property.  Gowens is also wanted for warrants with Baldwin County, Cherokee County and Piedmont Police Department.
