According to Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver, Sheriff’s Office investigators, Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms Agents, and Deputy U.S. Marshals, executed warrants on three individuals from the Ellisville community late last week.

The arrests were the result of a lengthy investigation conducted by the Sheriff’s Office and the ATF.  Two suspects, Terry W. Wright, 49, and Eric D. Lewis, 50, were arrested at a residence on County Road 14.  The third suspect, Clifford A. Wright, 33, was arrested just inside Floyd County, Georgia.

Both Terry and Clifford Wright were taken into federal custody on federal grand jury indictments for felon in possession of a firearm.  They were arrested last year on drug charges, and those cases are still pending.  Lewis was transported to the Cherokee County Detention Center on several warrants regarding probation violations.
