The Greater Rome Chamber of Commerce celebrated its 106th Annual Meeting Thursday, January 26, 2017 at the Georgia Northwestern Technical College Aviation Center.  The gavel was passed from 2016 Chairman Mr. Curtis Gardner, Sonny’s Real Pit Bar-B-Q, to the current 2017 Chairman, Mr. John Quinlivan, CEO, Redmond Regional Medical Center.  One of the highlights of the evening was the unveiling of the Chamber’s new logo and name.

“The rebranding effort is a culmination of Chamber leaders, local professionals and a diverse group of members coming together with a task and a mission to provide a contemporary, global look with a strong unified message, “explained Mr. Quinlivan.
2016 Chairman, Curtis Gardner added, “The Chamber’s Board of Directors voted at the October Board Meeting to change the name to Rome Floyd Chamber making it clear who we represent and adding that we are looking forward to the future together.”

The new logo for the Chamber symbolizes the confluence of the three rivers and seven hills.  Embedded in the logo are an R and an F, representing Rome and Floyd County adding new growth all around. As you look through the arched doorway, you see a diamond, a shining symbol of a “city on a hill”….where opportunity awaits.
