Rome police have launched an investigation into what appears to be an orchestrated theft. Reports stated that an estimated $3,500 worth of shirts and pants were stolen from Belk at Mount Berry Square Mall over the weekend.

Reports stated that three women walked into the store from the front door and went to the Ralph Lauren section and created piles of clothing.  Reports added that one of the women then held open the front door while two others grabbed the clothing and ran out the door.

A witness reported that the women left in a burgundy Ford SUV.
