After a week long search the suspects accused of stealing a Cartersville police car has been arrested.  Reports stated that Rudy Lee Vinson, of Breman, and Anastasia Nicole Earwood, of Ranger, were found in Haralson County this weekend.

 

The U.S. Marshals Service tracked Vinson and Earwood through multiple states and located them in Cleburne County, Alabama earlier Friday. The pair struck a U.S. Marshal and took off, starting a high speed chase that crossed into Haralson County.

A short time later, Ear­wood was apprehended at the scene of an accident the two caused in Haralson County. Vinson fled into the woods and carjacked someone a short time later and ended up at Wal-Mart on U.S. 27 in Bremen.

Vinson entered the Wal-Mart, stealing a pair of shoes and knocking down a customer as he attempted to run from the store, but was arrested before he could.

Vinson and Earwood were both in the Haralson County Jail on Friday night. Vinson is charged with felony hindering the apprehension and punishment of a criminal, and Earwood is charged with felony theft by receiving stolen property.

A Cartersville Police Department car that was stolen on Saturday night has been recovered. Police did say that the suspects, Rudy Lee Vinson and Annastasia Nicole Earwood, have yet to be found.

Officers around Northwest Georgia are seeking a pair of suspects who stole a Cartersville police car on Saturday.  Reports stated that Rudy Lee Vinson and Annastasia Nicole Earwood stole a 2008 white Dodge Charger, tag number GC85379 while being placed under arrest.

Police stated that the two were wanted on an unrelated burglary

The patrol unit has a yellow Support Our Troops ribbon magnet and Automated External Defibrillator, or AED, sticker on its rear.

It also contained a shotgun and rifle.

A BOLO was issued in Floyd and Polk County. Sources told CVN that the couple appears to be heading south.
