Kenneth Zachary Whaley, 34 of Rome, was transferred from Chatham County to Floyd County Tuesday to face numerous charges, including being a fugitive from justice.  Reports stated that Whaley is wanted in Cherokee County, Alabama for a crime he committed in May of 2016.

Reports added that in April of this year Whaley attempted to resist arrest after he was found at a location on Pollock Street for violating his probation.   Deputies also stated that while placing him under arrest they found methamphetamine on his pocket.

Whaley is charged with being a fugitive of justice, possession of methamphetamine and obstruction of law enforcement.
