An inmate at the Floyd County Jail, Landon Ray Burgin, 74 of Silver Creek, is facing additional charges after he broke an ear piece of the jail phone and then flushed it down a toilet.
Burgin is charged with interference with government property.

Landon Ray Burgin, 70 of Rome, was arrested on Chateau Drive after a wreck. Reports stated that after EMS began to work on Burgin in the ambulance he began to hit them in the chest.
Reports added that Burgin was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the wreck, in which he ran off an embankment.
Burgin is charged with driving under the influence, stop sign violation, failure to maintain lane, driving too fast for conditions and interference with medical professionals.
