Redmond Regional Medical Center announces Stephanie Jones as Chief Nursing Officer. In her role, Jones will oversee operations of assigned clinical and non-clinical departments, ensuring that patient-care, clinical, and regulatory standards are met.


Jones holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and a Master of Science in Nursing Administration from the University of West Georgia.  Jones has remained board-certified by the American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) in Nursing Administration since 2003. She is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and will become eligible for the Board of Governors exam in 2017.


Most recently, Jones held the position of Associate Chief Nursing Officer at Eastside Medical Center in Snellville, Georgia. Prior to this position, Jones served in a variety of roles at Redmond Regional Medical Center in Rome, Georgia. Before joining Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) in 2007, she began her career in healthcare in 1989 with Adventist Health Systems. During her 12 years with HCA and subsequent years with Adventist Health Systems, Jones has served in numerous clinical and leadership roles. The primary areas of her clinical expertise include: Critical Care, Clinical Decisions Unit/Observation, Outpatient Surgery, Oncology, Medical-Surgical Nursing, Behavioral Health, and Perinatal Services. Additionally, she has an extensive leadership background having served as a Nurse Director, Nursing Supervisor, Market Director of Care Coordination and Case Management, Nursing Administrator of Outcomes and Metrics/VP of Quality, and Associate Chief Nursing Officer.

Jones, her husband Maurice, and their 13-year-old daughter Brooke are welcomed back to the Redmond family. They currently reside in Adairsville, Georgia.
