A 20 year veteran of the Bartow County Sherriff’s Office, Lt. Gary Shane Ingram, 43, of Cartersville, has been arrested and charged with sexual battery.
Reports stated that Ingram was arrested by Paulding County Sheriff’s Office on one count each of aggravated sexual battery and sexual battery for an incident that allegedly occurred on October 29th.
Police said that the alleged incident occurred while Ingram was off duty and declined to give any specifics on the nature of the allegations or who the victim was.
Authorities did say that the incident may have involved more than one victim.
