Heaven Forsyth, a senior at Pepperell High School, has been named Teen of the Month by Teens in the Driver Seat.  Forsyth is active in the Pepperell SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) group and on the executive council.  Teens in the Driver Seat is a peer-to-peer safety program for America’s youth.

According to Teens in the Drivers Seat, a teen of the month is someone who stands out in a Teens in the Driver Seat group.  The teen motivates other members and spreads the safe teen driving message whenever and whoever possible.  “Heaven is always willing to help with all of our projects involving Teens in the Driver Seat and SADD,” said Alana Ellenburg, faculty advisor for SADD at Pepperell High. “She is well respected by her peers and has a voice to create change.”

“Sometimes it’s uncomfortable to step out of the norm to tell someone that they are doing something wrong while driving, but it may save your life or potentially another person’s life,” stated Forsyth. “Do the hard right over the easy wrong.”

Forsyth was featured on the Teens in the Driver Seat Facebook page where she shared her information about herself and where she would like to be in five years.  Forsyth wrote, “I would like to have an art studio and sell my art. The field of business is very intriguing to me and opening my own business to sell art is a goal I have had since I was a little girl.”
Forsyth’s activities at Pepperell and in the community include playing on the PHS softball team, the teen advisory board for TDS, Sources of Strenth at PHS, FCA, Student Fusion at Pleasant Valley South Baptist Church and supporting her sisters in their endeavors.
