Ivan Delgado, 53 of New York, was sentenced to 20 years with 10 to serve in prison after being convicted of being at fault of a wreck that resulted in the death of a Catersville woman.

Delgado pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter, reckless conduct and second-degree cruelty to children charges.  He must also pay restitution totaling $7,373 for funeral expenses.

Delgado, a tractor trailer driver, lost control of his truck while delivering to Zepp Inc.  The vehicle travelled down a hill, across both sides of the highway and pinned Kyra Karr’s vehicle to the road’s railing.  She died in the crash, her husband and three children were transported to the hospital.
