According to results from the GBI crime lab, 26 year-old Marika Marie Nelson, died as the result of a meth overdose in Heritage Park last May 30.

According to Floyd County Deputy Coroner Gene Proctor has identified the body found behind the levy at Heritage Park as 25-year old Marika Marie Nelson.
Reports said that Nelson’s body was found around 4 p.m on Monday.
Proctor said that it appeared that the body had been deceased for sometime before it was discovered.
Nelson will be sent to the GBI crime lab for an autopsy.
