A single vehicle accident resulted in three people being airlifted on Sunday.  Reports said that a pickup truck went through a yard then rolled over before slamming into a tree on J.T. Mackey Drive in Leesburg around 10 pm.  A fourth person was also injured.

The three people that were airlifted was sent to nearby trauma centers, the fourth victim was taken by EMS ground unit to Gadsden Regional Medical Center.

The Leesburg Police & Fire Departments, Sand Rock Fire Department, Cherokee County Sheriff’s Department, Centre Police, Cherokee EMS and the Cherokee County Rescue Squad all responded to the scene.
