According to Georgia State troopers, a logging truck driven by Jeremy Nelson of Fort Payne was traveling at a high rate of speed northbound on Martha Berry Highway approached the traffic light at Berry College and overturned.
The trooper stated that the driver of the logging truck noticed that another vehicle was exiting Berry College and decided to turn the truck to the left in an effort to avoid a collision.
Reports added that the weight of the truck caused it to overturn and spill logs over Martha Berry Highway.
The driver of the truck was cited for driving too fast for conditions, improper turn, and running a traffic light.
No injuries were reported.
