According to Bartow County Sheriff Clark Millsap, two individuals have been arrested in an ongoing armed robbery investigation which took place on Tuesday, March 8th, 2016 at the Budgetel Inn located at 35 Carson Loop in Cartersville, Georgia.
Christopher Eric Hartsfield, 25, of Cartersville has been arrested and charged with Armed
Robbery, Aggravated Assault, False Imprisonment, and Interference with a 911 call for help.
Amanda Lynn Johnson, 35, of Adairsville has been arrested and charged with Armed Robbery.
Both Hartsfield and Johnson are currently being held in the Bartow County Sheriff’s Office Adult Detention Center without a bond.
The victim in the incident reported to deputies he was robbed at gunpoint by two white male
subjects in his room after answering a knock at his room door. The victim did not know the
male subjects at the time of the incident. The two males entered the victim’s room grabbing
him around the neck from behind and choked him.
The subjects then took approximately six thousand five hundred dollars ($6,500.00) in cash, a
cell phone, and keys belonging to the victim.
The victim was told if the called 911 harm would be done to him. The phone cable was
removed from the wall in the victim’s room by the subjects before leaving.
Johnson was aware of the victim’s money due to her having been at the victim’s room prior to
the incident. The incident occurred after Johnson’s departure.
The investigation is ongoing and more arrests are expected. Anyone with information is asked
