A Gadsden man has been arrested in the connection with trafficking in drugs. Rahiem Davis of Gadsden has been charged with Trafficking in Heroin, Possession of Marijuana, and Carrying a Concealed Pistol Without a Permit. The arrest stemmed from the investigation into heroin distribution networks in Gadsden and the Etowah County area.
On January 12, 2016, Agents made a traffic stop on Forrest Ave. in Gadsden based on a moving traffic violation. During the stop, Agents seized approximately 37 grams of heroin along with one handgun and $6930 in cash.
The seizure of these items will impact the availability of heroin in Gadsden and Etowah County.
Agents with the Etowah County Drug Task Force , Gadsden Police Department, and the North Alabama Safe Streets Task Force participated in the arrest.
