Cartersville police have arrested 38 year-old Jaimey Shane Swafford, of Canton, and charged him with the attempted robbery of the Rite Aid at 954 Joe Frank Harris Parkway. Reports said that he was captured after police blocked off the area on Saturday.
Reports said that officers found a suspicious bag, but after searching it for a hazardous material, they only found stolen medications.
Police said that Swafford is charged with armed robbery, two counts of terroristic threats and acts, four counts of aggravated assault, possession of a hoax device and obstruction of officers.
