The Exchange Club Family Resource Center is pleased to announce that Tina Bartleson, Executive Director, has been appointed to the Department of Family and Children’s Services State Advisory Board by Governor Nathan Deal.

The State Advisory Board will review and make recommendations to the director of the Division of Family and Children Services regarding issues relating to the protection of children and the welfare and public assistance functions of the division.  Bartleson has more than 26 years of experience working with children and families, primarily in child abuse prevention.  She is a member of the Exchange Club of Rome and holds a master’s degree in Public & Social Services from West Georgia College.

According to Bartleson, “I am honored to have an opportunity to share lessons learned through the Exchange Club Family Resource Center’s prevention programs and our work with children and families. Family engagement and support is critical to the protection of children.” According to Representative Katie Dempsey, “I am grateful that Gov. Deal appointed Tina to this very important position and even more grateful that she accepted this opportunity to serve.  Her experience will be helpful beyond measure as our State works together to keep Georgia’s children safe.”
