Ryan Earnest, President of Rome-based Heritage First Bank, today announced that long-time area banker Jarrod S. Floyd has joined the bank and will serve as Vice President and Business Development Officer, located in the new Heritage First Bank office at 501 Broad Street in Rome.
Floyd earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Georgia in 2002, majoring in Finance. He completed studies for a Masters degree in Business Administration from Berry College in 2010. Additionally, he is a graduate of the Commercial Lending School sponsored by the Community Bankers Association of Georgia.
Prior to joining Heritage First Bank, Floyd had been affiliated with United Community Bank of Rome since 2003, most recently serving as a Commercial Loan Officer.
Active in a host of civic and economic development organizations, Floyd serves as an Ambassador of the Greater Rome Chamber of Commerce and serves on the Chamber’s Commercial Transportation and Governmental Affairs Committee. He is a graduate of Leadership Rome and an Advisory Board member of the Salvation Army. Floyd serves as Treasurer for the Rome/Floyd Citizens for Better Schools and has been a participant in the Floyd County Relay for Life.
He is a member of Phi Kappa Phi and Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Societies and is a member of Pleasant Valley North Baptist Church.
