Members of the Cherokee County Industrial Development Authority recently attended the annual North Alabama Industrial Development conference at the Shoals Marriott Conference Center in Florence, Alabama.

As part of the conference, the group attended the North Alabama Public Power Association awards luncheon. At the awards luncheon Brooks Kracke, President, NAIDA recognized and presented a plaque in memory of the late Mayor Edward Mackey of the Town of Leesburg. The plaque honored Mayor Mackey for “his vision, leadership and tireless efforts toward the economic development of his community, Cherokee County and North Alabama”.
