Shemika Roberts, Parent Aide with the Exchange Club Family Resource, was recently named `2015 National Parent Aide of the Year` by the National Exchange Club. The National Parent Aide of the Year Award is presented annually by the National Exchange Club to Parent Aides who demonstrate creative work with families, exemplary skill at engaging families into services, and leadership. Shemika was selected as recipient from other nominees across the U.S.
Shemika, a nationally certified Parent Aide, has worked with the Exchange Club Family Resource Center for six years. According to Executive Director, Tina Bartleson, Shemika exemplifies characteristics of an outstanding Parent Aide. “Shemika has a wonderful ability to see the strengths in families and parents who struggle. She has a talent at helping parents better understand their personal challenges and then engaging them into programs that can help. She regularly goes over and above the call of duty to serve families and we are thrilled that she is a part of our team.”
