Numerous police agencies in Floyd County are continuing to search for a suspect, identified as Bennie Duvall, 28, following a chase and wreck on Wednesday morning. Reports said that a truck allegedly driven by Duvall wrecked at the Rome Bypass at Kingston Highway just before 8am. Reports added that Duvall was traveling east on Ga 293 toward Rome when he crossed the bypass, running the red-light, and was hit in the rear by another vehicle, causing him to lose control and wrecking. A passenger in the truck, Tosha Marie Owens, 22, was captured and arrested at the scene.
Police said that they recovered a large amount of what appeared to be methamphetamine in the truck.
Owens is charged with trafficking drugs.
Duvall is described as 28-years old, 5’09“ and 160 lbs, with brown hair and green eyes.
