Two Paulding County jailers, LaDarius Dominique Jones, 30, and Lucas Mays, 22,  were arrested this week and charged with sexual assault in connection with what authorities called inappropriate contact between the jailers and multiple female inmates.

Both are each charged with three counts of sexual assault and one count of violation of oath of office.  The charges stem from allegations made by a female inmate earlier this month that two male jailers had “initiated inappropriate sexual contact” with her.

After an investigation uncovered video evidence and led two other female inmates to make similar accusations, the Paulding sheriff’s office fired Jones and Lucas. The pair were subsequently arrested by agents from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
