Forbes magazine has issued a list of the richest people in the
world, and five billionaires live in Georgia. The richest person
in Georgia is Anne Cox Chambers, the 90 year-old daughter of James
M. Cox, the man who built Cox Enterprises. Chambers has a net
worth of $10 billion. She rankes 64th on the top list.
The rest of the list contains names such as Chamber`s newphew
James Kennedey, 62, who has a net worth of $5 billion and finished
the list 154th.
S. Truett Cathy, 89, founder of Chick-Fil-A, is worth $1.5 billion
and is ranked 655th on the list.
Bernie Marcus, 80, a co-founder of The Home Depot and Georgia
Aquarium benefactor ranked 655th with a net worth of $1.5 billion.
Arthur Blank, The Home Depot co-founder and current owner of the
Atlanta Hawks has a bet worth of $1.2 billion and finished 773rd on
the list.
A 70 year-old Mexican telecommunications mogul, Carlos Slim, took
the honor as the world`s richest person is worth a net $53.5 billion.
He finished just above Microsoft founder Bill Gates who is worth
a net $53 billion.
