Woman Accused of Stealing $250K from Employer

Tiffany Hewell, 30 of Newton County, was arrested this week
and charged with 92 felony counts and 100 misdemeanor
counts of forgery. Police said that Hewell stole more than
$250,000 from her employer, Crowne Community Homes.
Authorities said that she worked in the accounting department
at the Conyers based company.
An audit was conducted in mid-February after the company
became aware of missing checks that totaled $255,139.43.
The checks were discovered missing between February 2011
and February 20133.
Two associates, Darrell McKibben, 49, of Covington and
Barry Jordan, 42, of Covington, were also arrested.
McKibben was charged with 37 felony counts of forgery and
31 misdemeanor counts of forgery while Jordan has been
charged with 22 felony counts and 28 misdemeanor counts of forgery.
Warrants were also issued for Crystal Thrasher, Wilson
Lamar Price, Timothy Sims, Darrick Howard, Jason Myers,
Shalter Lashawn Rogers and Antonio Howard, charging all
seven with numerous counts of forgery.
