John Ira Hartson, 40. And Elena Morae Blitch, 35, both of Rome, was arrested this week at the Red Roof Inn after police said they were found in a room with a large quantity of suspected meth, hydrocodone, clonazepam, a bag of suspected marijuana, gabapentin, a drug pipe, numerous bags for packaging drugs and a digital scale.

Reports added that Hartson admitted to distributing narcotics.

Both are charged with possession of methamphetamine; possession of meth with the intent to distribute; possession of Schedule II and Schedule IV controlled substances; possession of a Schedule I or II controlled substance with the intent to distribute; possession of a Schedule III, IV or V controlled substance with the intent to distribute; sale, possession or distribution of dangerous drugs; possession of drugs not in the original container; possession of drug-related objects; and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

Hartson is also being held on a probation violation.
