Rome Man Steals Car, Found Hiding Behind Bed

Carlos Demond Woodard, 29 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he allegedly stole a car on Maple Street.

Reports said that the theft occurred back on December 13^th near Sonoco on Maple.

Officers added that they later saw Woodard driving the vehicle and attempted a traffic stop. It was there reports said Woodard ran from police and was later found hiding behind a bed.

Woodard is charged with theft by taking a motor vehicle, two counts obstruction, driving on a suspended license, no tag light, and cracked windshield.
