Lawrence Harvers, 27 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he grabbr ed a 24 year-old woman by the throat, slammed her against a wall, and pushed her to the ground where he began to choke her.
Reports added that the victim suffered injuries to the back and neck.
The altercation occurred at an apartment on Dodd Blvd.
Harvers is charged with aggravated assault and battery.
