Bobby Gene Castillo, 28 of Rome, was arrested this week after police said he caused an accident while under the influence of drugs.
Reports said that Castillo caused a wreck while driving at a high rate of speed on Hearthwood Drive near Burnett Ferry Road.
Authorities said that while investigating the accident they determined that Castillo was driving under the influence. A search led them to find hydrocodone.
Castillo is charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drugs not in the original container, possession of drug-related objects, reckless driving, too fast for conditions, and DUI.
