According to reports a 22 year-old woman, identified as Sara Overbey of Griffin, was airlifted after a multi-car wreck on US 27 Tuesday morning.
Reports said that Overbey was driving her 2012 Ford Fiesta west on Lovell Street when she failed to stop at a stop sign and entered into oncoming traffic on US 27.
It was then Overbey struck a 2010 Jeep Wrangler, driven by 28 year-old Hayden Jennings of Rome.  The Fiesta then struck a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado that was driven by Corey Dowdy, also of Rome.
Overbey was seriously injured and was airlifted to Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga.
No other serious injuries were reported.
The investigation into the wreck continues and charges are pending against Overbey.
