Precious Echols, 28, of Rome was arrested this week for lying to police.

According to police, Echols was asking if she knew, had communicated with, and/or had seen Quentin Dixon and Aundare Griffin, who were both wanted fugitives of the United States Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force at the time of the questioning.

Photos of both were shown to Echols. She then stated that she had never spoken to and did not know the two men.

It was later found that Echols was lying.

Echols is charged with felony false statements.
