The Great Rome Board of Realtors said that home sales in October rose 25 percent over the same time period last year. Reports said that 110 homes were closed on last month, with an average sales price of $161,188, up 7.6 percent over last year.
The number of new listings was up 16.3 percent with 121 homes placed on the market.
However, overall active listings dropped 8.1 percent to 353.
Between January and October 967 homes were sold in Floyd County .
In Bartow County, 111 homes were sold in October, an increase of 2.8% over last year. The average price was at $215,000, up 8%.
In Gordon County, 40 homes were sold, an increase of over 48%. The average price was $188,000, up 44.6%.
