buy modafinil los angeles Catheryn (Claire) Gardner, age 93, of Rome, passed away on November 2, 2018, following a brief illness.
Claire was born on October 23, 1925 in Cameron, SC, to the late Alva Lester and Lou Penn Shuler Haigler. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James C. Gardner, Jr., by one brother, Larry M. Haigler, and by her son, Larry I. Gardner.
She is survived by her brother, Gordon I. Haigler, of Chapin, SC; sons, Al Gardner (Bonnie), of Buford, GA, and David Gardner (Mickie), of Anniston, AL; four grandsons, Chris, Michael, Tyler, and Clint Gardner, and nine great-grandchildren.
Claire was a 1945 graduate of Winthrop College, holding a degree in Dietary Science and was employed by Battey Hospital as a dietitian prior to becoming a full-time homemaker. Claire’s passion was her cooking and her sharing of dishes and desserts with friends and neighbors. She was an active member of Fellowship Baptist Church, the Hope Sunday School class, and was an ambassador of her Savior, Jesus Christ.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 7, 2018, at 2pm at Fellowship Baptist Church with Dr. Dale Levan officiating and with the eulogy delivered by Mr. Jamie Koch. Interment will follow in Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Fellowship Baptist Church on Wednesday from 12 noon until 1:45pm.
Pallbearers are requested to assemble at Fellowship Baptist Church on Wednesday at 1:30pm and include: Chris Gardner, Michael Gardner, Nathan Gardner, Tony Bell, Jamie Koch, and Tyler Gardner.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be made to the Fellowship Baptist Church Building Fund, 314 Burnett Ferry Road, Rome, GA 30165, or to the charity of choice.
