Adairsville Police Officer Billy Smith along with Sergeant Jason Stargell observed a white male subject walking across Hwy. 41 acting in a strange manner. The man, later identified as Kevin Sexton, was yelling at cars and waving his hands in the air in a very unusual manner. Both Police Officers noticed Mr. Sexton was smoking a cigar and when he became aware of their presence, he immediately stuck the lit cigar in his jacket pocket.

When approached and questioned by the officers, Mr. sexton advised it was a Marijuana Cigar. Mr. Sexton also advised the Officers he had a pistol in his pocket. The Marijuana Cigar as well as a Jennings .22 caliber pistol was taken and placed into evidence. Mr. Sexton was arrested and charged with unlawful carrying of a concealed weapon and possession of misdemeanor Marijuana. Th Adairsville Police Department is proud these officers were able to remove this subject along with drugs and a gun off the streets of Adairsville.
