Brinnon Banister, 19, of Rome was arrested Monday afternoon for attempting to murder another man.

According to police, Banister stabbed the male victim in the stomach, with a knife, with intent to murder him. The stabbing caused a disfiguring laceration to the male victim. During this altercation, he also left marks on a female victim’s neck.

Bannister’s 16-year-old girlfriend was present during the incident. He was also found to be in possession of marijuana and blunt wraps.

Banister is charged with felony aggravated assault, felony aggravated battery, felony possession of a knife during the commission of or attempt to commit certain felonies, misdemeanor battery, misdemeanor possession of marijuana, misdemeanor possession of drug-related objects, and misdemeanor contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
