The Georgia Dept of Economic Development’s Global Commerce Division says there was $5.56 billion in investment in Georgia last year which helped create over 27,000 jobs in the state.

Governor Deal says industries around the world continue to pick Georgia thanks to the state’s business-friendly environment. Deal says 80 percent of the projects that came into the state last year were located outside of metro Atlanta and created over 14,000 jobs in rural areas.
