Alex Urieta, 21 of Rome, was arrested this week after police said he hit a 21 year-old woman in the chest, resulting in her suffering visible injury.
Reports added that the attack occurred while the woman was allegedly holding a small child.
Police went on to say that the woman then fled the home and went to a neighbors house for help. Urieta then allegedly went to that home and began to kick and hit their door.
Urieta is charged with public drunk, simple battery, obstruction of law enforcement and cruelty to children.
