Carey Dewayne Carson, 40 of Rome, was arrested at the Relax Inn after he allegedly struck a woman in the nose with a closed fist.
The incident occurred back on June 21st at a home on Fortune Street.
While being booked into the Floyd County Jail it was discovered that Carson was wanted on a warrant out of Alabama.
Carson is charged with battery and fugitive from justice.
