The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) arrested Robert Elder, age 32, and Olivia Groomes, age 26, of Calhoun, Georgia, for one count of Cruelty to Children in the Second Degree and one count of Murder in the Second Degree.
On Tuesday, May 22, 2018, the Calhoun Police Department and the GBI began an investigation regarding the death of three-year-old Sebastian Kincaid. Kincaid was brought to the Gordon County Hospital early in the morning on May 22, 2018 by his mother (Groomes). Kincaid was pronounced dead a short time later.
Both Groomes and Elder are currently incarcerated at the Gordon County Sheriff’s Office.
