Captain D’s, the nation’s leading fast casual seafood restaurant, announced today the opening of its newest franchised location in Rockmart, Georgia, marking the brand’s 102nd location in the state. Located at 651 Forrest Avenue, the Rockmart Captain D’s will celebrate its grand opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony today at 9:30a.m.
This new Captain D’s location is owned and operated by Mr. Asif Jariwala and Ms. Zaheara Momin, cousins who bring more than 45 years combined experience in management and franchising. The duo own several Dairy Queen locations throughout Georgia, as well as two local hotels, and the Rockmart restaurant marks their first opening as Captain D’s franchisees. Jariwala and Momin were looking to bring a high-quality fast casual dining experience to their hometown, and decided Captain D’s was the perfect fit after being introduced to the brand’s innovative products and personalized approach.
“I’ve spent more than 25 years in franchising and have seen first-hand how increasingly crowded the industry has become, particularly in the fast casual segment. The Rockmart restaurant opening kicks off Captain D’s plans to aggressively expand its presence throughout the Southeast, with additional locations slated to open later this fall in Pooler, Georgia; Shelbyville, Kentucky; and Jackson, Tennessee. This ongoing growth further signifies the outstanding success the brand has achieved over the past several years, experiencing a surge in franchise and corporate development. Throughout the past year, the company has opened more than 15 new locations and executed numerous new development agreements to open new restaurants in key markets, including Michigan, Indiana and South Georgia.
