Steve Allen Reece, 40 of Taylorsville, was arrested this week after he allegedly stole a pair of Ariat boots valued at $140 from Tractor Supply on Cartersville Highway.
Reports stated that Reece put on the boots, walked around the store and eventually out the door without paying for the merchandise back on April 7th.
Then on June 29th he is accused of stealing a Butterfinger candy bar from a store on Shorter Avenue.
After being approached and upon apprehension Reece attempted to flee the scene on a bicycle. He was caught and taken into custody at a location on Rosewood Road.
A search of Reece also allegedly led police to find three needles containing heroin and meth.
Reece is charged with two counts theft by shoplifting, possession of meth, possession of drug related objects, obstruction of police, possession of a schedule I controlled substance, giving false information to police and probation violation.
