Ted Eugene James, 48 of Silver Creek, was jailed this week after police said they found a syringe containing meth and a glass smoking device also containing meth in a chair in which he was sitting.

Reports added that while being placed in handcuffs James told police that he also had a bag of suspected meth in his pants.

Officers went on to state that as James was being placed in the patrol vehicle he began running away, in the process damaging a brick fence.

James is charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug related objects, possession of marijuana, obstruction of law enforcement and criminal trespass.
