Sammie Joe Robinson, 58 of Kingston, was jailed this week after police said he attacked a 19 year-old woman at a home on Brewer Road.
Reports went on to say that the Robinson hit the girl in the arm before shoving her down in front of her 19 month-old child.
Robinson is charged with battery and cruelty to children.
