Michael Pete Lindsey, 30 of Rome, was arrested this week after police said he took 13 grams of marijuana and a digital scale with meth residue on it into the Floyd County Jail.

Reports said that Lindsey was stopped by police at West Rome Baptist Church and was taken into custody for driving on a suspended or revoked license and driving without insurance.

Deputies said that while being booked into the jail they located the drugs and scale, which were found hidden in Lindsey’s pants.

Lindsey is charged with possession of drugs across the guard line at the jail, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, possession of meth, possession of drug-related objects and a probation violation.
