Rome Man Attempts to Destroy Evidence During Traffic Stop

Devon Jaleel Booker, 24 of Rome, was found with drugs after police said they pulled him over for an improper lane change.

Reports said that while conducting the traffic stop police discovered that he was not using a valid class driver’s license . They added that he was also found with marijuana in which he attempted to destroy by pouring the bag out in the floorboard and then grinding it into the carpet.

Booker is charged with possession of marijuana, tampering with evidence, window tint violation, failure to maintain lane and violation of driver’s class.
