Demarcus Cortez Wright, 27, of Griffin, was jailed this week after police said he conspired with two others to get a cellphone into the Floyd County Prison.
Reports said that Wright was on a work detail at the Floyd County Animal Control facility last December when two others attempted to pass along a cellphone.
Wright is charged with felony conspiracy and items prohibited for an inmate .

Two Romans, Monica Michelle Stoudmire, 47, and Jason Marquez Kirk, 29, were arrested this week after reports said they attempted to give an inmate at the Floyd County Jail a telephone.
Reports said that the suspects allegedly attempted to pass the cellphone to Demarcus Wright.
Both are charged with conspiracy to commit a felony and items prohibited by an inmate.
