Center. Forum River Center had requests for southern rock and it listened! Forum River Center and 104.9 The Rebel are bringing Molly Hatchet, Atlanta Rhythm Section and Rome’s own, The Georgia
Thunderbolts, to the Forum River Center Arena Friday, July 13, 2018 at 8 p.m.
Molly Hatchet is celebrating its 40th Anniversary with a World Tour. They are getting ready to make a big announcement regarding a new record deal and more. After 40 years, Molly Hatchet is still workin’ hard, playin’ tough, livin’ fast and still Flirtin’ with Disaster.
Molly Hatchet will be performing classic hits such as “Flirtin’ with Disaster,” “Devil’s Canyon,” “Gator
Country,” “Whiskey Man” and “Dreams I’ll Never See.” The band’s current lineup consists of 30 year plus member Bobby Ingram – lead guitar; Phil McCormack – lead vocals; John Galvin – keyboards; Time
Lindsey – bass guitar; and Shawn Beamer – drums.
The Atlanta Rhythm Section (ARS) have put out 15 albums and consistently put on entertaining, live
shows and have grown a large fan base since the 70s. Classic hits from ARS include “Doraville,” “I’m Not
Gonna Let It Bother Me Tonight,” “So in to You,” “Imaginary Lover,” “Do It Or Die” and “Champagne Jam.”
ARS’s current band members include Dean Daughtry – keyboard, backing vocals; Rodney Justo – vocals;
Steve Stone – bass, backing vocals; Justin Senker – bass; David Anderson – guitar, backing vocals; and
Rodney Stephan – drums, backing vocals.
Rome’s very own southern rock band, The Georgia Thunderbolts, will be opening for Molly Hatchet and
ARS. The Georgia Thunderbolts have a wide variety of musical influences including southern rock bands
like the Allman Brothers, Wet Willie, Marshall Tucker and Lynyrd Skynyrd. The other great influences
come from R&B and soul artists like James Brown and Sam Cooke. Band members include TJ Lyle – lead
vocals; Bristol Perry – drums; Riley Couzourt – lead guitar; Zack Everett – bass, vocals; and Logan TolbertRhythm Guitar. The Georgia Thunderbolts are a “one of a kind band and bring to mind the meaning of REAL.”
