Kristopher Stephen Helm, 28 of Silver Creek, was arrested this week after police said he attempted to cash three checks in his stepfathers name at Regions Bank.
Police stated that the incident occurred on Friday.
The checks totaled $3500.
Helm is charged with three counts of forgery in the fourth degree.
